   There is no denying of the fact that the progress of countries is linked with their technical advancement. The acquisition of technological excellence is vital for the economic development of a country, Therefore, the eradication of poverty and unemployment for the purpose of raising the standard of living of the masses, greater stress on providing technical, vocational and engineering education and training is a must in both government and non-government organizations working for the promotion and the furtherance of the cause of technical education. Keeping this in view, Dr. Syed Muhammad Jafar laid down the foundation of the ITE trust in the year 1983.

Pak Institute of Management and Computer Sciences (PIMCS) Lahore was established by the trust in 1998 as a private institute to promote and accelerate the study and use of technology in Pakistan. The mission of the institute is to make an outstanding contribution to technical advancement and modernization of the country. The trust has established PIMCS as its first institute of computer science in affiliation with the University of the Punjab. The trust has been already running Pak Polytechnic Institute since 1993,

Pak Polytechnic Institute offers 3 years diploma of Associate Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Computer, and Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Technologies in affiliation with the Punjab Board of Technical Education.
